How did you get into modelling and how long have you been modelling?
I got into modelling a couple of years ago through a hair salon in York. They used me as a hair model for a competition in Leeds that they won, and that meant going down to London for the finals. They didn't win unfortunately but it was a great experience.
Can you remember what your first job was?
My first ever job was a shoot for Regatta in Sheffield. It was both in a studio and outside on location around a park.
What has been your most exciting job?
My most exciting shoot was for Bacardi. It was set in a beautiful house and we just had to pretend to party and have a good time, which wasn't very difficult!
What are the positives of having a modelling career?
The positives for me are that you get to travel to new areas of the country, and you meet lots of different, interesting and friendly people.
Would you say its hard keeping up to a model standard? Keeping a healthy, fit physique, staying fresh faced etc?
It can be quite challenging keeping a standard, especially with skin, as the occasional spot can appear at any time, regardless of how healthy you try and be. Keeping fit isn't as challenging I don't think, I've always been quite active throughout my life.
Do you have any advice for aspiring models?
The best advice I would give to an aspiring model would be to get someone with a good camera to photograph you when you are first submitting shots to potential agencies. I've heard a few stories of people sending in poor quality photos, and they are instantly dismissed by the agency, regardless of how much potential the model had.
